Patron of A Cappella Go - Frank Moore
Awarded to Frank Moore
At our Mid Year Concert 2025 - Marvellous Music - we awarded Frank Moore the Patron of A Cappella Go award to Frank for his outstanding contributions to the choir since he joined in 1989.
Frank joined A Cappella Go shortly after it commenced in 1989. Apart from a couple of years away he has been a loyal, diligent and conscientious choir member for all this time. He served as president on multiple occasions and when he wasn’t running the group he was always involved in helping in any way he could. He is mister reliable and his experience in the military ensured he is a very organised individual. Nothing is ever too much trouble - he is obliging and very community minded. Frank has been invaluable in his work creating sound files to assist group members in learning the group’s repertoire - annotated scores with the Noteworthy Composer App and subsequently with MuseScore.
Frank has also been a longtime compere for the group - his fabulous story telling and way with jokes keeping audiences and choir members entertained. He has a great sense of humour, intelligence and a vey quick wit. His stage presence, cheeky charm and comic timing building a great rapport with the audience.
Together with Savannah (his wife who is also a member of A Cappella Go), they wore themselves out organising the Stopalong Cowboy show in 2004, which was a major production and ran for 7 sessions at the Princess Theatre In Fremantle. He continues this show stopping ability with coordinating our musical backing tracks and set up for our internal Have a Go Night that we hold every year. He really is one in a million.
